Goalkeeper Nicolae Calancea left Zimbru, for which he played practically throughout his carrier. He was also on trial at Krylia Sovetov, but didn’t compete in Russia’s championship, IPN reports.

Now, the 27-year-old player will have the chance to play in Romania’s championship. He signed a contract for a period of three years and a half with Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt and may make his debut in the match against Universitatea Cluj on February 24. Calancea, who was named the best goalkeeper of the National Division in 2013, convinced the chiefs from Piatra Neamt of his performance in the friendly played against CFR Rapid Suceava.

The most memorable match of the former captain of Zimbru was the Chisinau encounter against Turkey.

Halfback Vladislav Ivanov, of FC Costuleni, may also play in the championship of Romania. He is on trial at the team Pandurii.
