Prime Minister Iurie Leanca today met with Nicola Harrington-Buhay, outgoing UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative, and with outgoing Ukrainian Ambassador Serhii Pyrozhkov, who are ending their missions in Moldova, IPN learned from a Government press release.
Iurie Leanca remarked the dedication showed by her excellency Nicola Harrington-Buhay during her mission. “Let me thank you not just for work, but also for putting your heart and soul into it. Your eagerness to learn Romanian demonstrates your interest showed to this nation. We've become part of our society”, said Iurie Leanca, wishing her success in her future work. Nicola Harrington-Buhay said that the United Nations Development Program will be always there to support Moldova.
During the meeting with Ambassador Serhii Pyrozhkov, Iurie Leanca discussed the Moldova-Ukraine relationship and the need to strengthen it. Serhii Pyrozhkov served as Ambassador to Moldova from 2007, before being recalled in October by a decree issued by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
