The principal of a secondary school situated in Strășeni district hired her sister and niece at the school, signing individual work contracts with them. In Rezina district, the principal of a secondary school hired his wife as a teacher. A similar situation happened in Căușeni district, where the director of a kindergarten hired her daughter as an educator and later as a methodologist. The managers are to be penalized. The conflicts of interest were ascertained by the National Integrity Authority (NIA), IPN reports.

According to the quoted source, the mayor of a village in Râșcani district during a period held the post of mayor simultaneously with that of manager of an agricultural farmstead, not solving the situation of incompatibility on time, as the law requires.

The mayor of Cotiujenii Mici village of Sângerei district allowed conflicts of interest after signing administrative documents referring to his sister who managed the local kindergarten. The mayor of a village in Drochia district allowed conflicts of interests when signing contracts to lease out the own vehicle. The mayor earned over 38,000 lei according to the contracts.

In Topala village of Cimișlia district, the former mayor signed a number of administrative documents referring to her husband working as a driver at the mayor’s office, while the ex-mayor of a village in Telenești district was in a conflict of interest with his grandson, signing administrative documents in favor of this.

The NIA said that if the ascertaining documents remain definitive, the court of law will be asked to terminate the labor relations with the mayor from Sângerei district and the mayor from Drochia district. Also, these persons and the former mayors from the districts of Cimișlia and Telenești will be banned from holding public posts for a period of three years.
