The Development of Self-Financing Opportunities for NGOs Project has come to an end. During ten months, members of nongovernmental organizations of Moldova had been trained in strategic planning. The project aimed to develop self-financing opportunities for nongovernmental organizations and to help them diversify services.

Contacted by IPN, executive director of “Pro Comunitate” Center Vitalie Postu said that 10 representatives of five NGOs from Balti, Ungheni, Straseni, Varnita, and Hancesti were trained in strategic planning within the project. The acquired knowledge will help them to diversify the services provided by their organizations by offering strategic planning services to businesses, local public authorities, public institutions and other NGOs of Moldova.

“The project was designed to ensure the NGOs’ sustainability. It is a method of obtaining income by providing strategic planning services for money. “The project is a continuation of a previous initiative within which there were trained five NGOs,” said Vitalie Postu.

The Development of Self-Financing Opportunities for NGOs Project was financed by USAID within the Moldova Civil Society Strengthening Program that is implemented by FHI360.
