NGOs to get funds from state budget

NGOs have got the permission to apply for funds from the state for cultural projects. Up to now, only the creation union shad this right. The deadline to submit the applications is June 1 of each year, Info-Prim Neo reports. “Raising the number of beneficiary NGOs, the Government has also established the mechanism of proposing projects for financing, and application forms,” said Finances Minister Mariana Durlesteanu. A conditions to get such funds is to present the contribution of the benefiting NGO to the project. The proposals requesting only state financing will not be accepted, the Minister specified. Priority will be granted to cultural events addressing numerous people. No funds will be granted to projects related to humanitarian aid of charities, political or party activities, business activities, trips abroad, Mariana Durlesteanu has said.
