A number of civil society organizations and private individuals express their profound regret at the way in which the Constitutional Court during June 7-9 generated an unprecedented political crisis and demand that the constitutional judges should resign without delay, IPN reports.
According to a press release, the CC passed judgements that weren’t based on the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova and the own case law, as the Venice Commission confirmed on June 24, 2019.
By their decisions, the constitutional judges caused irreparable damage to the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova and the only solution to restore confidence in and the authority of the CC is for the constitutional judges Raisa Apolschii, Veaceslav Zaporojan, Arthur Reshetnikov and Corneliu Gurin to immediately tender their resignation.
