Representatives of a number of NGOs are calling on the leaders of all state institutions to submit to the new Government, while condemning “the contempt and lack of morals shown by the Democratic Party”.

During a press conference, Dumitru Roibu, president of the Youth Movement “Stephen’s Descendants”, said that the Republic Moldova has seen different periods in its existence, but even the transition from the Soviet Union to independency was in his opinion a more peaceful process than what we see today. Dumitru Roibu says that the Democratic Party refuses to peacefully cede power to the coalition formed by the Party of Socialists and the bloc ACUM, and as a result a duality of power has appeared. Roibu encouraged the general public to announce their support to the new Government and Parliament, “because there is no way back”.

Nicolae Pascaru, president of the Movement “Voievod”, said the “time has come when the dictator fell”. According to him, “the man who has been directly responsible for all the bad things done in Moldova since 2009 is the Democratic Party’s leader Vlad Plahotniuc” and that “everything happening today in Moldova is the fault of the PDM leader, who is in agony and is capable of anything just not to give up power”.

Igor Sîrbu, representative of the YMCA National Alliance of Moldova, this period will go down in history. “This is a chance for Moldova to start anew and achieve prosperity in all areas of life”.

Dorin Ciurea, representative of the Center for Youth Cooperation, welcomes the existence of a new government which in his opinion will make a change. According to him, “Moldovans have suffered for far too long”.
