Newborn baby abandoned at hospital door

A newborn girl was found at the door of Hospital No. 3 in Chisinau by the institution’s driver at about 10pm on September 21, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the hospital’s director Simion Terente, the child was wrapped in a blanket. The driver immediately informed the medical personnel and the police. The girl was transferred to the Pediatric Division of the Chisinau Hospital No. 1. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, Ludmila Rusu, pediatric services manager of Hospital No. 1, said the child is in a satisfactory condition, but is yet under supervision in the reanimatology section. “The girl is now out of danger. When she was brought to our hospital, she had respiratory problems and a temperature of 36.2 degrees. She was dressed in swaddling clothes and wrapped in a blanket. We will monitor the child’s condition,” said Ludmila Rusu. The other girl who was found in a park in Chisinau two days ago is in the same reanimatology section.
