New Year in Tiraspol will be joyful despite financial crisis, Transnistrian officials say

The lights on the fir tree in Tiraspol will be lit on December 27. The tree will be placed near Tiraspol cinema on December 22, Info-Prim Neo’s correspondent in the region reports. A recital for children with health problems and for the children of the Transnistrian region’s defenders will be given at the Palace of Culture in Tiraspol on December 26. The ‘presidential fir tree” will be put there. “Despite the financial crisis, the New Year in Tiraspol will be joyful,” said Elena Adamenko, the deputy head of the Tiraspol culture department. 100 cultural-artistic activities will be held from December 25 to January 7. The New Year’s Eve concert in the square in Tiraspol will start at 20.00 and last until 04.00.
