Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca repeatedly warned a number of division heads over garbage bins filled to capacity. In the May 7 meeting of Chisinau City Hall officials, the mayor said that after the third warning the person will be fired, IPN reports.
Dorin Chirtoaca showed a number of pictures of waste accumulation platforms. He expressed his dissatisfaction that the municipal services responsible for cleanup didn’t modify the garbage collection schedules and the bins are overfull towards evening.
“Everyone will be fined, including the heads of municipal companies, the managers of the cleanup company “Autosalubritate”, district heads and deputy heads, deputy mayors. Individual fines will be imposed afterward if need be. When the persons collect three penalties, they will be dismissed from post,” said the mayor. Among those warned the last time is the head of the green areas managing company “Spatii Verzi” Eliferii Haruta. He risks losing his job in case of a new warning.
