A new trolleybus route will be available in the municipality of Chisinau as of November 10. This is route No. 34 that will connect the capital city and Trușeni commune. On a social networking site, acting mayor of Chisinau Ruslan Codreanu wrote that he is to sign an order to this effect.
Route No. 34 will have the following itinerary: Ciuflea St – Ștefan cel Mare Blvd – Calea Ieșilor St– Trușeni commune (27 august St), and back: Trușeni commune – Calea Ieșilor St– Ștefan cel Mare Blvd –Tighina St– București St – Ciuflea St.
Contacted by IPN, Dorin Chernyi, director of the Chisinau Electric Transport Company, said the assembly of five battery powered trolleybuses is close to an end. The trolleybus parts were bought from Belarus.
Currently, the connection between Chisinau and Trușeni is ensured by minibuses No. 135 and buses No.17. The inhabitants complain there are few units of transport running on routes and these are always crowded.
