New training course for SMEs

The Organization for the Development of Small and Mid-Sized Enterprises (ODSME), in partnership with the economic divisions of district councils and the territorial fiscal inspectorates, has launched a new training course themed “Small-scale Accounting”. ODSME director Iulia Iabanji has told Info-Prim Neo that the 21-hour course will be taught for free during three days and will reach all the districts of the country by October. The course is devoted to business starters who either hold an entrepreneurship patent or own and “individual enterprise”. The trainees will be taught accountancy according to the National Accounting Standard 62, will learn about the particularities of the taxation and reporting systems, and will get to know various stages and methods of doing business. “We believe that the enhancement of the SME sector in Moldova, especially in rural areas, can be attained only by developing entrepreneurial skills among small and mid-scale businessmen”, says Iulia Iabanji. ODSME is a nonprofit connected to the Ministry of Economy and Trade, founded by Government decision on May 17, 2007. Among ODSME’s objectives is to implement government policies in supporting SMEs, enhance the competitiveness of the national economy by providing assistance to businesses.
