A new tender contest to obtain the right to place kiosks on the territory of Chisinau city will be held at the Centru district head’s office on August 20. Twenty-four locations for stalls to sell periodicals and flowers and for terraces in streets and parks will be put up at the sixth contest of the kind, IPN reports.
According to mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban, the initial selling price is 205 800 lei for a kiosk and 1 500 000 lei for a terrace. The contract is signed for a period of five years.
Ion Ceban posted in social media that the deadline for submissions is August 18, 3pm. Such tender contests for such locations are a premiere for Moldova and their goal is to ensure transparency. The first contest of the kind was held on December 2, 2020.
The mayor noted the municipality so far gained 42 271 013 lei, while about 30 million lei will be collected in the immediate period as installments stipulated in the contracts signed with the winners of the contests.
