New norms concerning the costs for providing the persons accommodated at social facilities with the necessary products take effect on March 1, 2017, IPN reports.

For an adult in rehabilitation centers, the Government approved the sum of 107 lei a day for food. For an elderly person in old people’s homes, there will be allocated 44 lei a day, while for those placed in day centers, the sum was reduced to 29 lei a day.

In the case of children with mental or other kinds of disorders younger than seven, placed in boarding schools, the alimentation norm is 36 lei a day, while for those older than seven is 40 lei. For children in day centers, the norm is 26 lei a day per child.

For medicines and dressings, the Government approved a norm of 9 lei a day for adults in rehabilitation centers, of 7 lei for elderly people and children with disabilities and of 1 lei for elderly people and children in day centers.

The annual spending norm for clothes, footwear and soft inventory in old people’s homes is of 1,014 lei/person, while for children is of 429 lei. For the same purposes, the rehabilitation centers will get by 312 lei per adult.

For hygiene products, the social institutions will allot 58 to 117 lei a year per person, while for games and books between 39 and 78 lei.

The Government decision says the norms for food products can be increased by up to 20% from humanitarian assistance, while the norms for medicines for rehabilitation sections after myocardial infarction and stroke will rise by 50% compared with those for general wards of rehabilitation centers for adults.
