“The newly launched company aims to provide solutions for maintaining and repairing PCs, communication software, Internet tools and programing environments, applications for managing business contacts, antivirus programs, software for scientific applications, multimedia programs,” Romsym Data Romania executive director Razvan Balint said in a news conference held in Chisinau.
Razvan Balint explained the company decided to base in Chisinau as the IT market here is better than in other towns.
In 2007, the software company Romsym Data Romania launched Romsym Data Moldova, which had revenues of US$750,000 in 2008.
Razvan Balint said Romsym Data Moldova does no more benefit from assistance from Romsym Data Romania because its daughter company in Moldova registered the brand with the State Agency on Intellectual Property Protection as its own. Besides, Romsym Data Moldova refused to make public its revenues for the last periods.
Romsym Data Romania has a representative office in Serbia as well. Its turnout in Romania in 2009 was €5.5 million. With an experience of 18 years in applying software solutions, Romsym Data Romania implemented the Business Object Solution at Moldova's State Tax Inspectorate and Union Fenosa and the SPSS Solution at the Ministry of the Interior.
