The young people from the left side of the Nistru who study outside the region will be obliged to periodically do the test for COVID-19 at the own expense. The condition also applies to the people from “other states” who study in the Transnistrian region. The test results will be presented at the checkpoint when crossing the administrative line, IPN reports.
The local press reported that there are now 519 such students and 355 of them cross the “Transnistrian border” once a week, while 164 do it daily. All of them will be obliged to do a test for COVID-19 once in two weeks, at the own expense.
If they don’t do it, their access to the region will be restricted. According to the Transnistrian authorities, the decision was taken in connection with the serious risk of importing the virus from the neighboring states in which the COVID-19 infection rate is high.
