The Commission for Exceptional Situations introduced a special movement regime for the residents of Bălți and Chisinau. In both of the municipalities, the persons cannot be outside homes between 11pm and 5am as from April 3. The trips for professional purposes, to the doctor or the drugstore are an exception. The Commission banned the movement and stay of persons in public places, such as parks, playgrounds, sports grounds and recreational areas. All those who will go outside will be obliged to have an identity card on them. The new restrictions are valid for the entire period of the state of emergency and were presented by acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi after the meeting of the Commission for Exceptional Situations, IPN reports.
The Commission also banned the holding of ceremonies and mass events. The persons whose disability degree expires during the state of emergency will have this extended automatically until the state of emergency is lifted. In the localities with a high number of cases of COVID-19, the classes to school students will be taught online, while kindergartens will continue working.
The decision of April 1, 2021 also provides that if an economic unit, regardless of the type of ownership and organizational form, violates the sanitary rules or public health measures and its further activity endangers public health, it is closed for the whole period of the state of emergency. There was instituted a special work regime all over the Republic of Moldova. Only up to 30% of the personnel involved in office work will be present at the workplace. In the other cases, the managers will organize the work program so that the staff is divided into groups or shifts.
The Public Services Agency will ensure the provision of public services based on appointments made beforehand so as to avoid the formation of lines when persons apply for identification papers. The enterprises that provide public services are banned from disconnecting household users from services or imposing penalties if the consumers do not pay for gas, heat, electricity or water on time. The Security and Intelligence Service will make public the list of media sources with online content that disseminate fake news about the epidemiological situation in the country and will take protection and prevention measures.
The state of emergency at national level was declared for the period between April 1 and May 30.
