New regulation to repatriate traffic victims published

The victims of the trafficking in human beings – not accompanied children and adults, as well as the victims of illegal migration will be repatriated according to unified procedures, established depending on the status of the repatriated person. The Government's respective Regulation is published in Monitorul Oficial (Official Gazette) issued on August 12, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The repatriation will be done with the written agreement of the person. In case of unattended children, aged below 10, the written agreement of their legal representative will be needed.
The children will be repatriated according to other procedures than the adults.
The regulation establishes the measures of protecting these people, the way of rehabilitating and monitoring them, as well as the responsibilities of the institutions involved.
The repatriation costs, including transport and documentation, will be covered from the state budget, as money for this purpose will be earmarked starting from 2009.
The decision was adopted on 7 August 2008.
