New rector appointed at Teacher Training University “Ion Creanga”

University teacher Nicolae Chicus was elected as rector of the State Teacher Training University “Ion Creanga”, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the secretary of the University's Senate Maria Rotaru, there were held two rounds of voting. Five persons competed for the post of rector. Only Nicolae Chicus and Mihail Grosu passed the second round after polling by 21 votes each. Three votes and two ballots were declared invalid. In the second round, Nicolae Chicus obtained 26 votes. Until now, Nicolae Chicus had been the dean of the Faculty of History and Ethnopedagogy.
