Standard diesel hit a new low for this, retailing this morning at 20.11 lei/liter. In the last seven weeks, standard diesel has dropped by 1.86 lei/liter or 8.5%.
Meanwhile, 95-octane gasoline decreased by 1.45 lei/liter or 5.7%, with its price dropping below 24 lei/liter mark.
The National Energy Regulatory Agency says the price trend is due to the decrease in the level of Platts quotes and the appreciation of the Moldovan leu against the US dollar.
For the next three days, August 24-26, the ANRE capped retail prices at 20.11 lei/liter for standard diesel (-0.07 leu) and 23.84 lei/liter for 95-octane gasoline (-0.09 leu).
