New proposal registered concerning sickness benefits

The compensation employees are paid when on sick leave could be paid not only for their main job, but for the secondary one as well. A proposal to this effect has been registered bya group of MPs. “Currently, the compensation for the period of temporary incapacity for work for people who have two jobs is paid only taking into account their main job’s salaries, even though people pay contributions to the social budget from their secondary job’s salaries as well”, Vladimir Hotineanu, one of the proposal’s authors, told Info-Prim Neo. Other authors include representatives of the Democratic Party, the Liberal-Democratic Party and the Liberal Party, as well as independent MPs. Hotineanu added that the proposal was approved by several commissions and next it should be approved by the Government and adopted by Parliament.
