The value of the new economic reform program for 2020-2023 between the Republic of Moldova and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is of about US$ 558 million. Prime Minister Ion Chicu had a discussion with the IMF mission led by Ruben Atoyan, during which there were agreed the last details concerning the new program, IPN reports.
According to the Government’s press service, the financial assistance will be used to revitalize the Moldovan economy, to support Moldova’s post-pandemic recovery and to implement institutional reforms.
The memorandum between the Republic of Moldova and the IMF will be discussed by IMF Management and the Executive Board expectedly in September.
