New prices on gas services to enter into effect Jan.7

The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) set new prices on the gas transportation, distribution and supply services provided by Moldovagaz, Info-Prim Neo reports. These remuneration, maintenance and utilization, commercial, general and administrative costs are used to calculate the price of the natural gas and are adjusted early by the ANRE, depending on the modification of the consumer prices, number of end-users and length of pipes, and other economic indicators. According to a press release from ANRE, Moldovagaz requested the approval of the basic costs of gas distribution services to a total amount of 336.5 million lei. The ANRE diminished the amount by 23.5 million lei, approving only 313 million lei. The costs of gas transportation services were approved by ANRE to stand at 73.5 million lei, by 1.7 million lei less than requested. The Agency also reduced Moldovagaz's operational costs by 21.4% to 28.3 million lei. In all the three cases, the staff remuneration costs suffered the largest reductions. The prices on gas transportation, distribution and supply services will enter into effect on January 7, after the relevant ANRE decision is published in the Official Gazette.
