A new postage stamp will be put into circulation on August 9. The ICT Ministry issued a new stamp that carries the words “June 27, 2014. Signing of the Association Agreement between Moldova and the European Union”, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry, the postage stamp represents the flags of Moldova and the EU. Its nominal value is 1.75 lei. It was issued in a number of 200,000 copies. The design was made by painter Vitalie Pogolsa.
On the day of the signing of the accord, June 27, Moldova’s Post Office issued a special postage stamp dedicated to the event. It was put on all the letters sent that day and transmitted the message of the historical event all over the world.
On June 27, Moldova and the EU signed the Association Agreement, which was ratified by Moldova’s Parliament on July 2.
