A new party called the New Historical Option (NOI) appeared on the political arena of Moldova. Its chairman Victor Alexeev has told the journalists that the new party is the rightful successor of the National Romanian Party and was issued with the registration certificate at the start of May, IPN reports.
Victor Alexeev said the symbol of the NOI is a pyramid that represents stability. The pyramid’s base will extend constantly, while its peak will eradicate abuses in all the areas of activity.
According to the politician, the NOI aims to fight poverty and will do its utmost to bring back home the Moldovans who emigrated. The party, which is a left-wing one, will be committed to the social-democratic doctrine and will cooperate with all the similar parties.
The members of the NOI plead for halving the composition of the Government and for reducing the number of ministries to nine.
The NOI pledges to defend the rights of the citizens and to eliminate all kinds of discrimination. It also pleads for increasing subsidies in agriculture as it is convinced that the people will return to Moldova when they are able to make a profit by cultivating their lands.
According to the party’s administration, the NOI now has over 6,000 members.
