New police commissar for Chisinau

Vladimir Botnari has been appointed as the new police commissar of Chisinau, the Interior Ministry's spokeswoman confirmed for Info-Prim Neo. Botnari was the commissar of Falesti district, a commander of the special destination brigade “Fulger”, and in 2002 he was a deputy ministry of domestic affairs. He was also a deputy minister of transport. According to spokeswoman Ala Meleca, the position remained free after Eugen Axentiev retired earlier in November. Some media wrote he was actually dismissed, a week after new Interior Minister Gheorghe Papuc was appointed.
