A new playground is being built in the yard of the apartment building situated at 8 Igor Vieru St in Ciocana district of Chisinau. The works are to be completed next week.
Representatives for the General Public Amenities Division said that a slide and swings were placed there and the surface of the ground is being laid out.
A playground was already put up at 18 Podul Înalt St in Ciocana. As the area was empty, people living nearby requested the authorities to build a playground there so that the children could play there.
“The General Public Amenities Division intends to further erect playgrounds in yards of apartment buildings. We want the inhabitants of the capital city, primarily the children, to have safe playgrounds where they can spend the time together with their parents. We will also repair the damaged playgrounds. The safety and comfort of children are a priority for us,” the head of the Division’s Territorial Development and Environment Division Vasile Efros has told IPN.
The works are executed as part of a project to build 30 playgrounds in yards of apartment buildings in Chisinau. The locations were chosen depending on the requests made by inhabitants of the capital city. The contractor was selected at a tender contest held in accordance with the legislation.
