New pharmaceutical products and medications, last generation medical equipment and free medical consultations are available at the specialized exhibition “MoldMedizin & MoldDent” that brought together over 100 participants from seven countries, IPN reports.

Family doctor Natalia Godoroja, from Buiucani district, said that those who asked for the doctor’s advice measured mainly the level of sugar in the blood, the blood pressure and weight. “There are many people who want to find out the state of their health given that the examinations are free,” she stated. The queues weren’t so long, while the results were provided immediately.

Ala Vieru, neurologist at the Family Doctors Center No. 5, said that all the consultations are rather theory-based.  Complete analyses and examinations are needed for an accurate diagnosis, but these cannot be done outside a specialized institution.

Andrei Ionas, consultant of a company that provides medical equipment, presented physiotherapy equipment that can be used at home. It contains 92 rehabilitation programs and costs minimum 3,000 lei. There was also displayed an electrocardiographer that allows making rapid and more precise measurements.

Among the exhibits was also an autonomous resuscitation system that works without the doctor’s assistance. Sales manager of the company that presents it Diana Lungu said only the Chisinau Emergency Hospital has such a device, while its price is negotiable. A project is being implemented within which all the clinics in Moldova will be provided with such portable apparatus, if the project is completed successfully.

Diana Burlacenco, consultant on medical and pharmaceutical products, said the visitors of the exhibit buy mostly vitamins. They present a novelty, which is a set of vitamins for pregnant women with bivalent iron that does not have side effects, in contrast to the synthetic products. The product is brought from England.

The visitors can also purchase glasses, lenses, glass frames, goods for children, ecological and dietetic products, footwear for medical personnel, etc.

The exhibit will last for four days, until September 12. It is open between 11am and 5:30pm.
