New Oxford English-Romanian dictionary available in Chisinau

The new Concise Oxford Lingua English – Romanian dictionary was presented in Chisinau on Tuesday evening. The book appeared as a result of the cooperation between the book distributor Educational Center and the publishing house Oxford University Press, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The dictionary keeps pace with the progress and developments in all the areas of activity. Three years have been spent on it and it deserves coming to Moldova,” Tatiana Cernov, manager of the Education Center Moldova - the first official shop selling foreign books in Moldova - said at the launch. The dictionary has 175,000 words, meanings and new expressions that are in common usage in English and explanatory notes about the culture of the countries where English is used. It also includes the Guide for an Efficient Communication, which is an overview of the linguistic and cultural relations in the English-speaking countries. The dictionary will be available in bookstores for 192 lei with thin cover and 299 lei with thick cover.
