New normative framework for implementing law on state-owned and municipal enterprises

Draft normative documents that will ensure the functioning of the new law on state-owned and municipal enterprises were published by the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure for public consultations before being approved by the Government, IPN reports.

The documents refer to the draft statutes of state-owned enterprises and municipal enterprises where reference is made to the property of these companies that can be included in the social capital, minimum social capital, administration bodies, method of distributing the made profit, procedure for reorganizing and dissolving the state-owned and municipal enterprises and other aspects related to their work.

There were also published the draft model regulations on the organization and holding of the contest to fill the vacancy of manager of state-owned and municipal enterprises, the application and participation conditions and the draft model individual work contract of the manager.

The central authorities that manage the state-owned enterprises are to ensure the adoption of the package of normative documents at the assemblies of shareholders so that each state-owned enterprise has them within a month. The municipal enterprises are to draft and adopt the normative documents within a month of the publication of the decision in the Official Gazette.

According to the State Registration Chamber, 1,552 state-owned and municipal enterprises were registered in Moldova by January 1, 2019.
