Exhibitions, festivals and specialized agricultural fairs can be held in compliance with the instructions on measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 infection. A decision in this regard was approved by the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission (CNESP) on Thursday, September 24.

Additionally, theatrical-concert institutions and culture houses were allowed to carry out activities attended by an audience, indoors. The final decision to reopen the cultural institutions will belong to executives, upon complying with all rules provided by CNESP regulations.

The number of spectators will be limited to 50% of maximum capacity, while people should not be seated closer than 1.5 meters. Wearing masks will be mandatory throughout the events, which will not exceed two hours.

CNESP members established the pandemic crisis management mechanism at the national level as a result of epidemiological situation criteria assessment adjustment based on methodologies applied at the international level. Thus, alert levels corresponding to COVID-19 virus transmission risk will be assigned at the local level, depending on several indicators, which will be calculated by the National Public Health Agency once every 14 days. Based on these indicators, local public health commissions will establish corresponding public health measures in their jurisdictions.

Restrictive measures will be reviewed based on the evolution and trend of the epidemiological situation of the COVID-19 infection.
