New monuments to be erected in Cantemir, Stefan-Voda, Balti

A monument dedicated to 14 young men from Cantemir district who died during the military conflict on the Nistru will be installed in Cantemir town. The Government supported the initiative of the Cantemir town authorities, which promised to cover the greatest part of the creation and installation costs. By a separate decision, the Government approved the installation of a monument in Stefan-Voda town in memory of the soldiers who died in the Afghanistan war and the Nistru conflict. Also in Stefan-Voda, a monument celebrating poet Mihai Eminescu will be erected in the Liberty Square. In Balti municipality, the bust of poet Alexei Mateevic will be installed in the Classics' Alley.
