A new mini-football field was set up in the courtyard of an apartment block at 93 Alba-Iulia Street, Chisinau. The Housing and Amenities Directorate says that the facility will be open for use to children and youth in all of the neighborhood.
It took 5 months and about 1.5 million lei of municipal money to set up the facility, which features a standard 32x18 mini-football pitch covered with artificial turf.
Vasile Efros, department head at the Directorate, says the field was built at the request of the neighborhood’s residents. Several locations in the sector were considered and this one proved to be the most suitable.
In addition to this one, mini-football fields were set up this year at four other addresses: 28 Mircea cel Bătrân Blvd; 104/2 Doina Street, 10 Sarmizegetusa Street, and 326 Muncești Street.
The company that performed the works was selected following a tender procedure according.
