Thirty-five specialists, teachers and managers from agriculture and food industry joined the extraterritorial organization “For Independence and European Integration” of the PLDM, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In a news conference on August 12, representatives of the group said they chose this party because the Liberal-Democrats have had a good performance and are a powerful, professional team able to solve the economic problems faced by the country and bring Moldova into the EU.
In a statement, the new members say “the latest political developments pointed to the necessity of strengthening the reform-oriented and pro-European forces around a party that is capable of effectively managing the state affairs. The way in which the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova takes part in the governance, especially the work of Prime Minister Vlad Filat, make us think that this party has the ability needed to ensure the continuity of reforms and the consistency of the European integration process.
The group of signatories called on the population to participate in the September 5 constitutional referendum and vote in favor of mending Article 78 of the Constitution and of the PLDM’s candidates in the legislative and presidential elections.
