Another 100,000 Sputnik V (COVID-19 vaccine made by Russia) doses are to be shipped to the Transnistrian region. “Half of the doses were delivered last night, while the other half will get there this night,” Olesea Pușcașu, press officer of the Customs Service, stated for IPN.

“The Medicines and Medical Devices Agency earlier authorized the import of 200,000 Sputnik V vaccine doses as part of the purchase of a lot for the Transnistrian region made by company Lekfarm,” stated Elena Mudryi, press officer of the Ministry of Health. On November 28, 100,000 Sputnik V vaccine doses were delivered to Tiraspol after the purchase price of US$19.9 of a series (two doses) was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Moldova.

Another 100,000 Sputnik V doses will be used to vaccinate and revaccinate 50,000 inhabitants of the Transnistrian region. The vaccines were bought by Sheriff Holding and are offered to beneficiaries free of charge, the Transnistrian leader Vadim Krasnoselsky announced on his Telegram channel.
