New local elections take place in Dubna village of Soroca district, Chetriș commune of Fălești district, Piatra commune of Orhei district and Corlăteni village of Râșcani district on November 1, IPN reports, with reference to the Central Election Commission.
Four candidates run for mayor in Dubna, Soroca, namely: Elena Sochirca of the Party of Socialists, Valentin Țîmbaliuc of the Party of Action and Solidarity, Pavel Gadibadi of the National Unity Party, and Liubovi Sochirca of the Romanian People’s Party.
There are six contenders for the mayoralty in Chetriș, Fălești, namely: Viorel Cumpanici of the Party of Socialists, Rodica Ivanov of the Party of Action and Solidarity, Alesea Mamai of the Our Party Political Party, Ivan Rotari of the Party of Communists, Ion Diac of the Pro Moldova Party, and Constantin Condru of the Democratic Party.
The mayoralty in Piatra, Orhei is disputed by: Viorica Bodiu of the Party of Socialists, Victor Mădrăguna of the Party of Action and Solidarity, Radu Bușila of the Shor Party, and Ion Rotari of the Democratic Party.
The candidates in Corlăteni, Rîșcani, are: Mihail Baciu of the Party of Socialists, Svetlana Pruteanu of the Our Party Political Party, Veaceslav Bold of the Party of Action and Solidarity, Alexandru Nemescu of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform”, and Victor Baciu of the Liberal Democratic Party.
Also today, the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, including those who are abroad, go to the polls to elect their President.
