Five preschool education institutions and 14 new groups in functional kindergartens will be opened in the course of 2019. Asked by IPN to provide details, the head of the General Division of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Rodica Guțu said the early education institutions in Chisinau are now overcrowded, IPN reports.
According to the Division’s head, a process of migration of parents from the suburban communities to Chisinau has been witnessed and the children of these parents need a place at the kindergarten.
“Until this year, only children aged three were enrolled at the kindergarten and the children aged two could not be admitted because of the shortage of places. With the opening of these kindergartens and new groups, we hope the enrolment of children aged two will become possible,” stated Rodica Guțu.
She added that the kindergartens and groups will most probably be opened on September 1 this year.
