New guidelines for Moldova in world relations

The NATO Information Center hosted, Tuesday, March 4, the presentation of a book titled “The World in 2020. An outline of the global future presented by the US National Information Council” – a study made by American researchers stressing on the development of international relationships in the next 20 years. Experts and political analysts have said at the event the research is extremely valuable by introducing a new vision on the near future and a set of recommendations Moldova should take into consideration to be able to find its place within the international relations, Info-Prim Neo reports. Radu Gorincioi, the director of the NATO Information Center, has said the analysis made by the US National Information Council is meant to influence the future patterns of developing the international relations and the international security system. The study is accompanied by a rear word by Romanian analyst Dan Dungaciu. Thus the US National Information Council presents a general vision upon the world geopolitics, and co-author Dan Dungaciu brings about information on the area, on Europe. “ADEPT” executive director Igor Botan has underlined that Moldova should know where it heads to and where it should stay internationally. In his opinion, the book deserves to be paid heed for offering an analysis, a vision on the ones projecting the future and thinking of “creative forecasts.” In this respect, Moldova could enjoy a set of guidelines for its future actions, he said. The director of the Viitorul Development and Social Initiatives Institute, Igor Munteanu, has said the recommendations offered by the American experts can be implemented in Moldova, too, in order to better the international relationships. The leader of the Christian-Democratic People’s Party, Iurie Rosca, has criticized the book as having a cyclopean view on the world. In the deputy speaker’s viewpoint, the book does not tackle essential issues preoccupying the European thinkers, referring to the sense of history, of life, the place of man in the historical evolution. The PPCD leader says Dan Dungaciu is one of the few analysts profoundly thinking of the Moldovan realities, academically contributing to Moldova’s becoming a functional state, with a predictable future. The Chisinau-based NATO Information Center is a non-governmental institution wanting to promote the Euro-Atlantic principles for the public’s benefit and to support Moldova’s cooperation with the Alliance.
