The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania is hopeful that the new Government of Moldova will continue the efforts made to strengthen the pro-European course, will deepen the democratic reforms and will fortify the law enforcement institutions in a consistent manner and at an intensified pace, in accordance with the message transmitted by the people in the November 30, 2014 parliamentary elections.

“The responsibility for ensuring an efficient and stable government that will take into account and will respect the people’s expectations is borne by all the forces that voted for the new Government. From this viewpoint, the strict pursuing of the European integration objective, respectively the implementation of reforms according to the European standards, will represent a test of confidence for these forces,” it is said in a communique of the Ministry, quoted by IPN.

In such conditions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania remains committed to developing the political dialogue and cooperation relations with Moldova so as to support the Moldovan authorities’ efforts aimed at strengthening the European course.

On February 18, Moldova’s Parliament gave a vote of confidence to the Government headed by Chiril Gaburici. The Cabinet was invested by the votes of 60 MPs of the Liberal Democratic Party, the Democratic Party, and the Party of Communists.
