New finance minister to be sworn in today

Victoria Belous, who was proposed by Prime Minister Dorin Recean for the post of minister of finance, will be sworn in on Wednesday, July 31. The information was confirmed to IPN by the Government’s spokesman Daniel Vodă.

The time is to be specified. The investiture ceremony will take place at the Presidential Palace. Victoria Belous will take the oath of office in the presence of Premier Dorin Recean and President Maia Sandu.

Prime Minister Dorin Recean on Tuesday proposed deputy director of the State Tax Service Victoria Belous for the position of minister of finance. He expressed his confidence that Victoria Belous’ experience and dedication will contribute to the Ministry of Finance’s efforts to ensure financial stability and economic growth.

Last week, Premier Recean announced that Petru Rotaru will leave the position of minister of finance as he was nominated for the post of deputy governor of the National Bank of Moldova. Parliament is to confirm him to this post.
