New excise stamps from January 1

New excise stamps will be used in Moldova from January 1, 2011. According to the Ministry of Economy, they will include a number of protection signs that make their forging impossible and allow to better monitor the sale of alcoholic beverages, Info-Prim Neo reports. Currently, there are 2.6 million old-type excise stamps. If the companies do not use them by January 1, the State Tax Service will replace them and cover all the related costs. The suppliers and wholesale companies are urged to accept products with old excise stamps by December 31, 2010.
