New director at Oncological Institute

Ex-minister of health in 2008 – 2009 Larisa Catrinici was named director of the Oncological Institute based on the decision of a contest commission, IPN reports.

According to the Ministry of Health, Larisa Catrinici has over 10 years’ experience of work as a family doctor. She graduated from the General Medicine Faculty of the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemitanu” and from the Faculty of Economy and Public Management of the Public Administration Academy under the President of the Republic of Moldova.

Between 1996 and 2001, she worked at the Health Division of the Chisinau City Hall. Afterward, during three years, she held the post of head of the Main Staff, Education Institutions and Social Development Division of the Ministry of Health and that of deputy minister of health.

In 2005, Larisa Catrinici was named director of the Blood Transfusion Center, while in 2007 she was appointed as director general of the Curative and Rehabilitation Association of the Government’s Apparatus.
