The State Tax Service modified the criteria for selecting large taxpayers from among legal entities. Thus, 80% of all the taxpayers will be chosen according to the descending turnover reported in fiscal reports for the management period previous to the period when updating is made and/or to the value declared in the fiscal reports for 11 months of the current year, IPN reports.

In a press release, the Service says 20% of the taxpayers will be selected based on the descending volume of taxes declared and paid for the year that precedes the year when the updating is made and/or for 11 months of the year.

The State Tax Service said the number of large taxpayers (legal entities) for 2017 rose from 450 to 650 business entities. The new list includes 428 business entities from last year’s list and 222 new large taxpayers (legal entities). Twenty-two business entities were excluded from the previous list.

The fiscal administration of large taxpayers (business entities) is aimed at offering these services of a high quality and personalized service. This is managed by the General Large Taxpayers Division of the State Main Tax Inspectorate.

According to fiscal statistics, the taxes collected from large taxpayers (legal entities) in 2016 represented 47% of the state budget revenues managed by the State Tax Service.
