The new contingents that will be vaccinated against COVID-19 will be approved on May 11, together with the launch of the national platform for making appointments for vaccination, said the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection. The decision was taken by members of the National Immunization Coordination Committee that had a meeting today, IPN reports.
“As a result of discussions, the members of the Committee underlined the necessity of introducing new contingents for vaccination gradually and in an organized way, in accordance with the National COVID-19 Immunization Plan,” says the Ministry’s press release.
The health officials said the first and second vaccination stages covering health workers, persons older than 60, those with comorbidies and persons aged between 18 and 60 who have comorbidies that can develop into serious forms and can even end in death due to COVID-19 continue.
As many as 171,820 persons got vaccinated in Moldova by now.
