For the director of the public TV channel to be elected, the Supervisory Board of the National Public Broadcaster “Teleradio-Moldova” should hold a new contest to fill the vacancy, the Board’s chairman Eugeniu Rybka has told Info-Prim Neo. “The previous contest to elect the director of Moldova 1 took place according to the regulations. There were held two rounds of voting. We will consider organizing a new contest,” said Eugeniu Rybka. He denied the rumors that the previous contest isn’t over. “That contest does not have continuation and, if we decide to hold a new contest to choose the director of Moldova 1, anyone can file applications to take part. The issue may be discussed in a meeting of the Supervisory Board this week,” he stated. On May 8, the Board questioned the candidates for the post of Moldova 1 director that fell vacant two months ago. But a new director could not be elected because two Board members of the five attending voted for Vitalie Cojocari, while three members for Efim Josanu. Thus, none of the candidates won the necessary number of votes.
