New Chisinau Mayor meets with Romania President

President of Romania Traian Basescu met with the new Chisinau Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca at Cotroceni Palace on Tuesday, June 26. According to the webpage of the Romanian President’s Office, Basescu congratulated the new Mayor General of Chisinau for the win in the local elections. Also, the president expressed his hope that the cooperation ties between the two local administrations, the Bucharest and Chisinau City Halls will continue to develop. Chirtoaca thanked for the congratulations and expressed his intention to contribute to the development of bilateral relations by strengthening the connection at the level of local administrations. Dorin Chirtoaca was appointed to the office of Mayor General one day before he met with the president of Romania.
