New bus passes to be introduced in Chisinau

Effective on 1 January 2013, a new type of bus and trolleybus passes will be introduced for people entitled to free rides on municipal routes, the Chisinau City Hall said in a press release. Beneficiaries of facilitations in the municipal public transit system should get the new passes until the end of the year at the district social assistance offices. The new passes will be valid through 31 December 2014. Entitled to annual bus and trolleybus basses are beneficiaries of age pensions whose monthly income is 1,450 lei or lower and who renounce monetary compensations for the public transit system.
