A new bomb threat was made against the Chisinau International Airport. As in the previous cases, the report was made through email. The police carried out searches and announced that it was a hoax, IPN reports.
The Chisinau International Airport has daily been the target of hoaxes in the recent past. Access to the Airport’s terminal is now allowed only to personnel and travellers.
Moldova has been hit by a string of bomb hoaxes. Intentional misleading about an act of terrorism is punished with a fine of 27,500 to 42,500 lei or 180 to 240 hours of community service or a maximum jail term of two years.
