The new bill on industrial parks that was presented at the yearly Conference of SMEs will facilitate their foundation. It significantly modifies the approach – from the creation of industrial parks by the state to the granting of concessions to the private sector for founding and developing industrial parks, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
According to the minister, the current law contains shortcomings that complicate the creation, financing and functioning of these parks that attract investment and contribute to regional development.
The bill envisions concessions for the companies - private, public or joint - and the central and local authorities that want to create industrial parks. They must own or be authorized to use a plot of land of at least 5 hectares on which to found the park.
Among the concessions stipulated in the bill are the gratis modification of the purpose of the farmland on which the industrial park is created, the right to purchase the land that is public property, as well as different tax concessions.
Valeriu Lazar said five proposals for creating industrial parks have been submitted recently. The Hancesti District Council allocated a plot of 15 hectares for founding an industrial park in that area.
