New approach for the License examinations at the Journalism Faculty of SUM

The graduates of the Journalism Faculty and Communication Sciences of the State University of Moldova are taking, for the first time the license examination in a different way. The students of the last year confronted with theoretical and practical examinations, aiming to evaluate the professional competence of the future journalists.
The Dean of the Faculty, Constantin Marin communicated to Info-Prim Neo that the new examination “Professional Competences in journalism” was taken in two stages. At first, the students created, in January-April period editorial staffs, which had the mission to elaborate a license newspaper. 14 teams which published, respectively, 14 newspapers were created. The second stage was held on Thursday, June 1, when the students took the examination. Each student was given a mission which included writing news, interview or reportage.
According to Marin, the faculty wanted to strengthen in this way the practical instruction of the students and to create proper conditions for the development of these abilities.
Almost 1.100 students of which 122 are taking the license examination this year are studying at those 4 specialties of the Journalism and Communication Sciences Faculty of the State University of Moldova.
